J & J the builders....Can we make it?

We needed a safety gate for the top of our stairs, since Ashlyn can crawl and get around now.

We wanted to make a nice one to match our other railing. Yes John and I, who are not craftsman made it ourselves. I must say, John was very skeptical of us being able to do it, but I knew we could. Here is the end result, which is great. You must know we did this without any plans, it's not perfect, but we are happy with the results
